When I was in Seattle recently I went to the Seattle Asian Art Museum, and one of the exhibits they had up was The Royal Paintings of Jodhpur, a series of paintings from the 17th through the 19th century, most featuring scenes from Hindu mythology. A number of the paintings featured the makara, an elephant-headed crocodile that doesn't look much like either an elephant or a crocodile:

What it did look like was something that needed to be feepified, so I decided to make one. And here are the results:
