Feeping Creatures Dragon Heron monster figurine

Dragon herons are partial to grilled fish for what I think are obvious reasons.

STAPLE! this weekend

It is once again time for Austin's own Independent Media Expo! This weekend, March 3-4, you will find the feeps at the Marchesa Hall. More deets on the STAPLE! website. Hope to see you there!

Feeping Creatures Dragon Slug figurine

You know how a legless lizard looks kind of like a snake, except it's not, it's just a lizard whose legs evolved away? Well, this dragon is sort of like that. No legs, no wings, just horn-like antennae. We may presume on the inside there are vestigial wing and leg structures, but I advise against cutting the dragon open in order to find out. Dragons are not known to take kindly to people who brandish sharp objects at them, and such interactions are prone to end in tears. And flames.

Purple Dragon Bird

Hanging out on a piece of driftwood, waiting for the creek to rise so it can set off on an adventure. Unfortunately, the weather failed yes again to produce any rain of consequence here. C'mon, sky, do your thing.

Spiked Dragon Bird

My nephews are visiting, so I brought them a dragon puppet to play with. I did not know this before, but apparently my purpose in life is to work the puppet, and taking time out for trivial things like eating and sleeping is a serious imposition on dragon puppet-time.

Fire Dragon

Seriously, how can it thunder like that all morning and yet we still don't get any rain?

Shiny Purple Dragon

In theory I should have been working on new feeps lately, but I've been sick all week, so very little of a productive nature has happened. I am on the mend, though, so perhaps some new feeps shall emerge in the next few days.

Tentacle Dragon ACEO

Perhaps it is time to consider putting the treasure back where you found it, lest our friend here finds it necessary to become persuasive.

Fire Dragon

For once, a dragon finds out what it feels like to be looked upon as a tasty snack.

Red Glow Dragon

The rent is very reasonable, but I'm not sold on the view.

Furry Green Dragon

A new piece I finished this week, and which I shall have for sale at ArmadilloCon. It kind of reminds me of the Grinch, though I wasn't trying for any similarity. Nevertheless, I am unable to deny the Seuss/Jones influence in my life.

Green & Magenta Heron-Dragon

ArmadilloCon is but a week away! If that's your annual feep sighting, let it be known that I will have a great many new things.

Black & White Dragon

Well, button-making turns out to have a bit of a learning-curve. My efforts yesterday yielded 16 successes and 8 failures. Thankfully, most of the failures were clustered at the beginning of the session, so I should be able to get my hit rate above 66% in the future.

Sunset Dragon

Or possibly a sunrise dragon in this case. I'm up way too early on a Saturday, but an afternoon at the park impends.

Purple & Gold Bird-Dragon

Bicycle ownership is a residency requirement for Austin (as is being in a band, or knowing someone who is in a band).

Tentacle Dragon

I have no idea how it got to be mid-June already. I am fairly certain foul play must be involved.

Mauve Dragon

You know how dog treats include such things as fake sausages and fake ice cream? I wonder if dragon treats would consist of fake maidens.

Longhorn Dragon

Oh, I say, Horns. Would you be so kind as to hook them?

Green & Magenta Dragon

Put some magenta spikes on it, and the anole living on my back porch could dress up as this dragon for Halloween.

Purple & Green Heron Dragon

I had a yellow-crowned night heron hanging out in the back yard a few days ago, napping in one of the trees. They have very dragony eyes.
