Striped Snat - Feeping Creatures monster figurine

I'm back from Space City Con. It was a great show! I'm a bit worn out, though ... not sure how THAT happened (gaming until 1:30 in the morning might have had something to do with it).

Purple & Green Snat - Feeping Creatures monster figurine

Stick with the hardwood, or put in carpet? Decisions, decisions. (The conundrum, of course, being that it is more delightful to eject hairballs onto carpet and other difficult-to-clean objects, but the snail portion of the snat would rather glide over a nice, smooth surface.)

Purple & Green Snat

This snat is thinking of hopping a train, but it gets dizzy at speeds over 2 miles per hour.

Road Feeps - Red & Black Snat in Salem, MA Graveyard

I am back from New York Comic Con and the wilds of the northeast, and I have a ton of pictures to prove it. I'm still sorting through them all, but since we're in the run-up to Halloween I figured I should go ahead and start posting some of the pictures I took in some of the very picturesque cemeteries in Salem and Boston. Let us begin with Salem, shall we?

Dominican Feeps - Snat on a Log on a Beach

I took this photo because I wanted to -- ha ha -- snat-a-log this event! Ha! Oh, my.

Dominican Feeps - Snat has dinner on the beach

The snat seemed a bit grumpy this trip. I guess the cat part of it wasn't really thrilled with all the water, but I figured the snail part would dig the moisture. Then I realized it was salt water we were talking about. Ooops.

Dominican Feeps - Snat and Truck

What's this? Feeps with a vehicle? Nothing can go wrong!

Dominican Feeps - Chillin' on the porch

It was a long drive to the rental house in Cabarete, but try not to feel too bad for the feeps. They're tough, and they're managing.

Excercise caution when leaving feeps unattended

One gets the distinct impression that no good is being got up to.

Metallic Snat

I did indeed take a bunch of ren faire feep photos yesterday, but I haven't had a chance to sort through them yet. Until then, may I offer you EXTREME PERSPECTIVE.

Halloween Snat

So I'm playing this game called Bookworm, where you have to make words out of randomly-generated letters. Turns out "snoot" is a valid word, but "snat" and "feep" are not.

Black & Red Snat

I've been off the grid, in a strange land of no internet. It's been an interesting experience, traveling back in time. I am on my way back to the future now, though.

Halloween Snat and Austin Comic Con Madness

This show is officially insane! I really had no idea what to expect, since this is the first year it's been in Austin (Wizard World Texas used to be in Dallas, for those of you keeping score). I'd done the Dallas show a couple of times, which had ranged from meh to really good. But the Austin incarnation is officially my biggest sales bonanza ever, and there's still a whole day left to go.

This means I will have to hit the ground running to get a bunch of new feeps made for online holiday sales. Not the worst of problems to have, really. And it means I get to make more Snats, one of my favorite designs to do.

Halloween Snat

Spookytime is creeping ever closer ...

Pink & Purple Snat

The snat looks as though it's all set to become the coffee burglar. Don't let your mug out of your sight!

Halloween Snat

I hadn't deliberately set out to make a snat in Halloween colors, but I suppose it was inevitable. It may seem like cashing in on the upcoming holiday, but you must realize that for me, every day is Halloween.

Snat and Cat

Instead of mucus, a snat glides along on a trail of badness.

Purple & Green Snat

The neighbors are getting their siding replaced. And, ya know, that's great. Good for them. It's just that I was pretty sure someone was in the act of demolishing my house at 7:30 in the morning. This means I never finished that dream about the post-apocalyptic zombie western.

Red & Black Cat Snail (Snat)

Here's a question to ponder: do snats move fast or slow?
