Feeping Creatures Dragon Slug figurine

You know how a legless lizard looks kind of like a snake, except it's not, it's just a lizard whose legs evolved away? Well, this dragon is sort of like that. No legs, no wings, just horn-like antennae. We may presume on the inside there are vestigial wing and leg structures, but I advise against cutting the dragon open in order to find out. Dragons are not known to take kindly to people who brandish sharp objects at them, and such interactions are prone to end in tears. And flames.

New York Comic Con next weekend

For those of you who actually read the texty bits of this blog, my sprained hand is doing much better. Yesterday I engaged in my first round of feepmaking since the injury. The purpose was to get some stock together for New York Comic Con next weekend, where you will find the feeps ensconced at the Prism Comics booth.

I don't have pictures of the new feeps yet, but my plan for next week is to take lots of pictures of them around New York and Boston, so when I return I'll have some fresh new Road Feeps pix to share with you.

So! If you're in NYC next weekend (Oct 13-16), do come to the show. Otherwise, see you here online when I get back.

There are those for whom being mistaken for a board game piece is a legitimate concern.

The search for the pirates' hidden treasure takes one on a journey across a curiously unsettling landscape.

Devil Slug

Final prep day for STAPLE!, wherein I shall finish up the last of the new feeps, string the new necklaces, photograph everything, make a few more buttons, finish my "yes, I take credit cards" sign, and anything else I run across that needs doing. So yeah, not much going on today.

Surprise Art Show!

The Hideout gave us the walls for March, so I went down there yesterday to hang a few pieces. Since this wasn't planned I don't have anything brang new up, though I will try to get some new pieces ready in time for SXSW.

STAPLE! is this weekend, March 5-6, so that's my top priority at the moment. March is going to be a busy one, it seems!

Sea Slug

My plan for today is to head downtown and take a bunch of feep photos. Hopefully it won't pour rain on me during this little exercise.

Curly Slug Necklace

Another of those unfortunate pendants who turns out to have a fear of heights.

Horned Slug

While the horns are truly fearsome, it does take awhile for the slug to get up to ramming speed.

Apparently hanging out in the Red Sea, ha ha.

Horned Slug

I should, if all goes according to plan, have an exciting announcement for you tomorrow. If all doesn't go according to plan, forget I said anything.

One-Eyed Cat Slug

Looking out the window, hoping the clouds stick around rather than burn off. The feeps don't mind the heat (what with being baked in an oven and all), but I could do with a little less August in my Texas.

Camo Cat Slug Necklace

You know, for those times when you need to sneak through the woods undetected, but don't want to go unaccessorized.

Horned Mustache Slug

The horns are probably like a rhino's, made of hair and sculpted with grooming wax.

Red Slug

Time to go call the fire department. The slug is stuck in the tree again.
