I am experimenting with a new way of making bat wings (always something of a pain to shape by hand of polymer clay, because it's hard to get the curves and the symmetry right without a template). I snagged a relatively small bat-shaped cookie cutter at a Halloween after-sale, still on the large end relative to your average feep, but small enough to work with nevertheless.

And now, back to the feep bat's tour of Mount Auburn Cemetery. The place was founded in 1831, so the monuments are newer than the ones the feeps were looking at in Salem, but the ones at Mt. Auburn frequently tend toward the elaborate and ornate.

I don't think this urn-like thing is an actual urn, just decoration for a monument. But I got distracted by some ducks in the pond and didn't read the inscription on the nearby obelisk, so perhaps it is an urn after all.

Got a small number of new feeps to photograph today, that I may list them forthwith. Also got a restock of shirts, which I will be listing soon. My point is, stuff impends.

Beebat ACEO

I'm guessing the beebat is omnivorous, perhaps starting off with a pollen salad before hitting the main course of flying insects.

I couldn't decide if this should be an orneryment or a necklace, so for the moment I've let it just be a pendant. We'll see whither it trends.

It is definitely time to be crankin' out the bat-themed art. Bat wings are one of my favoritest things to draw.

Purple Bat Necklace

Did a wee update to the Etsy store last night, which includes this bat necklace.

I haven't made too many bats in the past due to the fact that they're kind of a pain to make (I blame the wings). But I have made a discovery that helps cut down on the effort considerably, so hopefully the future shall be significantly more batty.

Also, this is the first batch of Feeps made with Kato Polyclay instead of Sculpey Premo.

Flying Vampire Bunnybat framed

I am, as you might expect, in the midst of pre-show panic, the hurried frenzy of getting everything ready and making as much new stuff as possible in prep for Wheatsville. I posted this drawing on here before, but I don't think I showed it to you in its framed format. I will have several framed mini-drawings available at the show, some even smaller than this one (which is approx. 2.5" x 3.5").

Cyclopean Vampire Bunnybat

Let's end this cyclops silliness with a new drawing I just finished. You might think that having no depth perception would make flying especially challenging, but forget ye not the sonar, and how well those big ears would pick it up. The eyeball is practically decorative!
