Road Feeps - Bat Necklace at Mount Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge, MA



And now, back to the feep bat's tour of Mount Auburn Cemetery. The place was founded in 1831, so the monuments are newer than the ones the feeps were looking at in Salem, but the ones at Mt. Auburn frequently tend toward the elaborate and ornate.

I don't think this urn-like thing is an actual urn, just decoration for a monument. But I got distracted by some ducks in the pond and didn't read the inscription on the nearby obelisk, so perhaps it is an urn after all.

I am back from New York Comic Con and the wilds of the northeast, and I have a ton of pictures to prove it. I'm still sorting through them all, but since we're in the run-up to Halloween I figured I should go ahead and start posting some of the pictures I took in some of the very picturesque cemeteries in Salem and Boston. Let us begin with Salem, shall we?
