I hung this feep on my front door for the photo since the door is green and would provide good contrast. I was half-tempted to leave the feep there since it kind of resembled a door knocker/ward, and would effectively be a sign saying "Welcome to the House of Feep." But I decided to put it in the eBay store instead.

The bright light/flash has washed out all of the green of your door. If I try really hard, I can imagine green in the shadow.
It's the glare from the sun reflecting off the concrete. It's kind of a muted dark green anyway, though. Not a screaming green by any means.
