Allow me to assure you of my innocence.

Season's Feepings

A very merry Feepmas to one and all.

Blue Candy Cane Snoot Orneryment

It is very nearly that time (unless you don't happen to care about that time, in which case it is very nearly some random, arbitrary time).

Eyeball Mollusc Necklace

It's one of those days where I just got up and it's already nap time.

Green & Black Tentacle Twist

I haven't made one of these lately. They worked best in the SuperFlex clay, which I haven't used in awhile because I kept getting batches of it where the clay was too hard to work with. The Premo is a bit sticky when it's still soft, so the tentacles would clump together and it was difficult to keep them separated. It was more annoying than fun to sculpt, so I haven't.

A clear case of medium directing the path of art.

Carnivorous Santa Hat Orneryment

The Santa Hat goes into camo mode and awaits prey. I mean, Santa. Awaits Santa.

Traditional hangover cure: tentacle of the cephalopod that beaked ya.

Coiled Snake Monster Orneryment

I feel like I misplaced the first half of this month, maybe left it under a stack of papers or something. I'm pretty sure it's not really the 18th already, because that would be impossible.

Dog Monster Shirt

I don't think I ever showed you how the Dog Monster shirts turned out. Here's one on a Women's cut.

Which, by the way, I have learned is different from a babydoll cut in certain key ways. (I have babydoll cuts in stock also, but I wound up ordering women's cuts as well.) Basically, it's a cross between your standard t-shirt style and a babydoll. So narrower shoulders and shorter sleeves, but not as tight on the torso as a babydoll.

That red halo is from using a flash when taking this picture. I have also learned that clothing photography is something of a black art, and one which I have clearly not mastered. Time to sell the ol' soul, I guess.

Purple Squidface Nautilus

You know how a lot of horror movies use the mysterious bump in the night as a spooky trope? I have to suppose that's only scary to people who don't have cats (or pets in general). The loud, mysterious crash early this morning was immediately followed by the appearance of a cat with that "What? Me? What! I did nothing!" face on.

Purple & Green Snat

The neighbors are getting their siding replaced. And, ya know, that's great. Good for them. It's just that I was pretty sure someone was in the act of demolishing my house at 7:30 in the morning. This means I never finished that dream about the post-apocalyptic zombie western.

Lamprey Mouth Monster

Clearly representing the evolutionary stage shortly after the creature emerges from the sea.

Also, I've probably done enough lamprey-themed feeps to have that be a distinct category, but I shudder at the thought of digging back through old posts to tag lampreys past.

A new and different feep emerges from the depths.

Gaping Maw Monster Silhouette

Very close to done with getting all the new stuff listed. I put up all the shirts yesterday, now I have but to list a handful of feep figurines (and Monday I get the restock on mugs and shot glasses, so those also will go up soon). Whew!

Yawnster t-shirt

Finally got all the shirt photos sorted and cleaned up. Today, I list in the store!

Dog Monster Mug

Working, working, working on getting all the new shirts photographed and resultant images prepped. Yes, I took pictures of the actual, IRL shirts in each size instead of Photoshopping a bunch of mockups because, I guess, I'm kind of insane. In theory I should only have to do this once for each design, though, so it's not actually as bad as it seems.

At any rate, I hope to have the new shirts up in the Feep eBay Store later on today. There are also a few figurines left to list, but the mugs and shot glasses are already up. So. There you have it.

Horned Furry Monster Silhouette Orneryment

A new style of orneryment for your edification (the frame is about 2 inches tall).

I also set up a Feeping Creatures Fan Page on Facebook last night, so if you're on the FB, you should be able to find and befriend said page here. If you have any feeps of your own you can post fan photos there, a practice I would greatly like to encourage.

I set it up to import this blog, but when the posts show up in the feed it only shows the text and not the photo. Since the photo is pretty much the whole point I may de-link the blog. Dunno yet.

Daily Monster Mug

I'm hoping to get the Feeping Creatures eBay store updated tomorrow. I'll let you know when everything's listed.

Swirl Mollusc

Wheatsville went surprisingly well. Surprising, because with the cold and the rain I was not at all sure there'd be much of a turnout. And I do think overall traffic was down, but the people who came out were determined shoppers.

I will be listing the new merch (shirts! mugs! shot glasses!) in the eBay store this week, though I am almost out of mugs and will need to reorder.

Oh, and to the little girl who accidentally broke a feep yesterday, and whose parents made her pay for it: I just wanted to say I felt bad for you, though your mom and dad were doing the right thing. The truth is, I've had kids break my stuff before, and they usually try to slip the broken feep back onto the table without anyone noticing, and then slink away. I'm really proud of you for owning up to what happened. I didn't argue with your parents since they're obviously doing a good job, but I'm not mad at you and I don't think the feep is, either.

Tentacle Monster Silhouette

I've had these tiny frames kicking around forever, and finally decided to fill them with drawings of monster silhouettes.

Yawnster Mug

I am up with the dawn today to go set up for the Wheatsville Arts Festival. It is, just so you know, 26 degrees F outside right now. This means you are obligated to come to the Festival to justify my having gotten up so early on such a cold morning. I will expect to see you there.

30th & Guadalupe, Austin, 10:00 AM to 5:00-ish PM. Non-Austinites are not off the hook.

Curly Dog Monster Ceramic Shot Glass

The new shot glasses, mugs, and t-shirts have landed! I will be hoarding my stock for the show this weekend, then listing any remaining goodies in my online store after the show is over, so they will be available for holiday giftery if that's your goal.

These shot glasses are ceramic and are microwaveable (sake!) and dishwasher-safe.

This is one of four different feep designs currently available. I'll post pictures of the others here over the next few days.

Flying Vampire Bunnybat framed

I am, as you might expect, in the midst of pre-show panic, the hurried frenzy of getting everything ready and making as much new stuff as possible in prep for Wheatsville. I posted this drawing on here before, but I don't think I showed it to you in its framed format. I will have several framed mini-drawings available at the show, some even smaller than this one (which is approx. 2.5" x 3.5").

Conical Mollusc

Wheatsville Arts Festival approacheth! This weekend, Dec. 5-6, from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM both days. Guadalupe & 30th, spread out across several local businesses (I'll be outside I ♥ Video). This is in Austin, of course. The weather should, in theory, be relatively pleasant.

My plan is to pick up the new mugs, shirts, and shot glasses tomorrow, so I will have them at the show. Rah!
