XTR3M3 Turtle

As you can see by the color, this turtle consumes a great many energy drinks. It is a frequent winner of turtle races, with top speeds of up to .000000734 miles per hour.

Eared Purple Eyestalk

The Eyestalk attempts to answer the question of how easy it is to become hypnotized by staring at a bunch of lines if you have no depth perception. Science!

Red & Silver Horned Blob

Hiding in the woods is never a good idea. The zombies always show up on the opposite side of the tree from where you're keeping watch.

Butterfly Dragon

While this dragon may seem harmless at first, it sleeps on beds of hoarded pollen and breathes a deadly blast of allergens.

Orange Curly-Horned Monster

Some feeps make a passing attempt, at least, at camouflage.

Nothing says Christmas Eve like cavorting with ladybug larvae on a picnic table.

Devil Blob

Bogeyman of termites everywhere.

Monkey Magnet

I made this as a gift for a friend who collects monkeys. I myself seem to be fixated on cats and dragons and birds, so it's good to branch out into other feeply representations of the animal kingdom (mythical or otherwise) from time to time.

This is the first ever Von Snoot, the venerable Primus.

Lookout! Nautilus

Run for cover! The dreaded feephawk is coming!

(The feephawk is a bad-tempered predator, bitter about having been picked on by sparrows all its life.)

Purple Tentacle Twist

You have to get up pretty early in the evening to claim the choicest stump in the swamp.

Blue Dragon

Feeps are occasionally overwhelmed by a need to put on Vincent Price impersonations.

"We should definitely check out what's over here."

"I'm really not so sure that's a good idea."

The Judge

The Judge is a freelancer and will be happy to adjudicate on just about anything. The quality of these gourds, the tastefulness of those shoes, the insanity level of that cat.

Long-Horned Eyestalk

Long-horned eyestalks have a horrible fear of and a terrible fascination with acorn squash.

Yowling Purple Longhorned Monster

Like cats, feeps are able to see into the spectrum of light known as the Things to Be Yowled At and Sometimes Chased Spectrum, which is invisible to the human eye.

Carnivorous Santa Hat

I put a few new feeps up in the eBay Store last night, including this Carnivorous Santa Hat.

(Disclaimer: Feeps will not actually do your hand-wash dishes for you.)

Eared Purple Blob

Traversing the treacherous Gourd Pass is harrowing work.

Meanwhile, the Wheatsville Arts Festival was very successful, for which I thank the many people who bought feeps. This does mean the Feeping Creatures eBay Store is a wee bit understocked, but I will be adding more stuff throughout the week, so fear not. The feeps shall return, and in greater numbers!

Panic Feep - Show Prep

This was the last feep I made before Wheatsville, and yes, it's possible I was deriving my inspiration from the pre-show panic-fest of trying desperately to get everything ready.

Wheatsville Arts Festival

By the way, the Wheatsville Arts Festival starts today (Dec. 6, 2008), which is the only possible explanation for my posting at 6:30 in the morning (6:30 AM is a foreign time to me, as I almost never stay up that late).

Anyway, the festival is at Adams Park on 30th Street here in Austin, 1.5 blocks from the Wheatsville Co-op. It opens at 10:00 AM and goes until 5:00-ish (basically, when it starts to get too dark to see anything). I'll be out there in my big tent o' feeps, so come by and say hello if you get a chance. It's also going on tomorrow (Sunday, Dec. 7), again starting at 10:00. Admission is freeeee!

Faucet Nautilus

You should obviously trust implicitly any feep who is offering you a drink of water from a tap over which they have control of the rate of flow.

Eared Eyestalk with Pumpkin Pie

I made a pie the other day, something I don't ordinarily do (and by "don't ordinarily do" I mean "have never done before until now"). Naturally, I had to take pictures. I guess I can't be too surprised that some feeps started showing up in the photos, for they are curious by nature and drawn to attention rays much as cats are. Were they jealous that I was taking pictures of something besides them? Or that I was having the audacity to bake something that is clearly not a feep? Or do they just like fresh pumpkin pie?

Goth Bunny

My first pass at making guinea pig feeps a few years ago turned out a bit more rabbit-like than pig-like. Luckily, feep taxonomy is fluid and a creature can be reassigned to a more appropriate category without much fuss. Bunny it is!

Evil Black Cat ACEO

This cat is stalking around outside somewhere even now, causing my cat to pace with great agitation as she searches for the best window from which to hiss at it.
