Horned Coil Monster

There are days when you need coffee before you can make the coffee. Sort of like looking for your glasses without your glasses.

Striped Tentacle Onion

Bringing a whole new meaning to the term "wild onion."

Yowling Kitten

It would seem you are paying attention to something other than this cat. For shame!

Dragon sketch

I drew this last night whilst playing Dungeons & Dragons (yes, I am that kind of nerd).

Feep Tap

A friend of mine built his own kegerator, so I made him a custom tap handle (he stained the chair leg, and I did the feep bit at the top). The feep's keg is a bit of dollhouse furniture I found in a discount bin somewhere. Likewise the glass.

Eyestalk Sea Serpent

I cropped out my face since I took this photo in the morning, before I'd gotten around to transforming myself into a human.

Tentacled Mandible Cat Monster

While this cat monster only has a hint of spider in it, I still question the wisdom of creating a creature that will both shed and strew cobwebs about the place.

Hammerhead Sea Monster

Assuming your hammers have tentacles. They do, right?

Sunday, August 23, 2009

Eyeball Hat

Sort of the feep equivalent of a single-celled organism.

Giant Eyeball Squid

Just engaging in a bit of recreational reverse diving.

Curly Taunting Devil

Accidentally read some comments on a YouTube video. Never scroll down!

Cat Feep and Foster Cat

Foster as in Brad W. Foster, who tabled next to me at ArmadilloCon. An interesting contrast in detail vs. simplicity, no?

Brad is a lot of fun to table next to. It's almost impossible not to eavesdrop on his conversations, because he's always getting into big discussions of art process and publishing with other artists.

Purple Long-Horned Monster

In the Monsters Who Hoard Treasure business, you have to work your way up to gold.

ArmadilloCon Table

Here's what my table looked like for the con this past weekend. I need more stands for the flat art.

Black Cat Snake

Cat snake feep has finally managed to elude the fire cat demon.

Sea Eyestalk and Blue Tentacle Makara at the House of Feep

When I'm at a convention I display the glow-in-the-dark feeps in a haunted dollhouse I made.

Spotted Dinosaur

Okay, so I forgot to take pictures at ArmadilloCon yesterday. I'll do it today. No, really!

Friday, August 14, 2009

Horned Rat-Tailed Cyclops

Perhaps you did not know that woodchucks can blush. Certainly I did not. I have no idea what the feep said to bring about this state of affairs, but perhaps that's just as well. I mean, if it can make a woodchuck blush ...

Blue Twisty-Horned Monster

ArmadilloCon starts tomorrow! If you're in Austin and you are a sci-fi fan, you should check it out. I'll be there all weekend with a table full o' feeps. And this year, I am absolutely determined to take pictures, by Jove (not that Jupiter could do much about it one way or the other).

Blue Raspberry Nautilus

To continue with the Texas in August theme I seem to have stumbled into this week, a patch of green and a pool of water are indeed a find worthy of manic facial expressions.

Fire Dragon

If you're a dragon in Texas in August, you're probably wondering why it's so darn cold all the time.

Monday, August 10, 2009

Magenta-Striped von Snoot

When you're a feep and you're in Texas, you have to be on the lookout for you-sized bugs.

Sunday, August 9, 2009

Horned Cyclops

Some feeps are driven to the brink of madness by displays of fruit.

Horned Purple Blob

Sitting atop a pile of treasure.

Horned Devil Wine Charm

For a devil, this feep is surprisingly rattled by dinner party conversation.

Copper & Green Snail

Toothed snails can serve as vicious guard-molluscs, protecting your life and property from turtles, sloths, and other invaders who have the good decency not to run so fast.

Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Blue Cat Monster

Leprechauns are not only a tasty snack, they are also provide a full serving of greens.

Green Slinkneck

Because what the world needed was a cross between a giraffe and a snake.

Monitor Octopus

I made this feep a couple of years ago for a project that never quite came together. Since then it has sat on my desk in various capacities. Back in the early days of feepdom CRT monitors were still common, so it wasn't difficult to get most any feep to sit on a monitor. Nowadays, the proliferation of flatscreens means that most feeps can't comfortably sit on most monitors (habitat destruction!). This octopus, however, manages to do so without difficulty and makes me think I should create more flatscreen-friendly feeps (adaptation!).

Green Makara

Ordinarily makara swim in mystical waters, and do not typically attempt to ride banana boats. But feeps are wont to go their own way.

Horned Curly Blob

Proceed with caution, for sometimes on the other side of the coffee pot is an exceptionally grumpy person.
