I'm not quite sure why a feep might need armor, although they are generally pretty small and therefore a likely target for predators. And, I have to say, many people have told me the feeps look quite edible (they're not, by the way), so perhaps the armor is to protect it from you.

They would be edible if they were made from Marzipan! Yum. Marzipan Feeps. Although they could be too cute to eat.
I've made feeps out of modeling chocolate before, actually (can't sell 'em since I'm not licensed for commercial food prep), so there have been a couple of rounds of edible feeps. I need to get copies of those pictures so I can post them.
