Purple Ant

At a show a few years ago a little boy was telling me which feeps he liked and which ones he didn't like (a few of them he thought were scary). He asked which ones I liked and didn't like. I am fond of all my feeps, but he demanded an answer to "didn't like," so I picked out this ant since I despise actual real-life ants.

The boy's dad came by shortly thereafter, at which point the boy informed him, "He doesn't like that one because he hates ants!" I think I may have tried to explain what I meant by "didn't like," but dad was doing that parental nodding thing and didn't really seem to be in need of further clarification.

Orange Snake

I don't make a whole lot of snakes because it turns out many people's snake phobia extends even into the small and cute and make of clay. The feep snakes tend to go home with snake enthusiasts, but these people are greatly outnumbered by the, uh, anti-enthusiasts.

I'm trying to think of what feep dragons would hoard. Not gold, surely, but maybe microchips? Or seemingly insignificant yet vital objects like the tiny screws that hold your glasses together?

The Running of the Feep Bulls never really caught on as an event due to the fact that feeps have a tendency to be stationary. Lacks the drama, I guess.

Deep Sea Feep

Rather plankton-like, yet large enough to eat plankton. It could be the plankton version of the bigger fish eating a smaller fish eating a still smaller fish theme.

Perhaps rats make good feeps because of the beady eyes. Oh, and the concentrated mischief.

I just made the first feeps of 2008 last night, and thought I'd go back into the mists of time and post a picture of one of the very earliest feeps (this one was made in 2004).
